The 27 year old singer could hardly contain her happiness. In an interview, she said that she's worried on how she'd portray her role effectively since Gigi is like the head of the bar girls. Go is anxious on how to deliver the sexiness of the role. With performing experience in her bag and the training she will undergo in London, her fans definitely are confident that she could put justice to the role.
The British news site Daily Mail and Broadwayworld.com has already reported Go's inclusion in the musical. Go herself already confirmed the good news via twitter. Lea Salonga, the original Kim and Isay Alvarez who first portrayed Gigi also brought to Twitter their 'Congrats' to the new Filipino pride.
On the other hand, 17-year-old Filipina-American Eva Noblezada will portray the new Kim as announced by producer Cameron Mackintosh.
Handful of talented Filipino singers also made the cut. So far, reported to have clinched a role are Jon Jon Briones who will portray as the Engineer originated by acclaimed Welsh actor Jonathan Pryce. We also have Julia Abueva, Tanya Manalang and Ariel Reonal being part of the ensemble.
